San Diego, CA (November 9-12, 2017) Last week, Lyryx headed south for the American Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges Annual Conference. Mathematics educators from all over the US (and some Canadians!) attended to “Have a Prime Time” and learn more about developments in the instruction of mathematics.
For Lyryx, it was an opportunity to meet with a plethora of instructors seeking adaptable, accessible and affordable resources for their courses. There were a lot of (happily) surprised faces, when visitors to our booth learned of the open (free) textbooks Lyryx develops and posts on their website. Eyes and smiles grew even larger when we told them about the freely available in LaTeX files and that online formative assessment (homework) is uniquely affordable for students at $0-$39.95!
We are very grateful to the AMATYC for organizing such an expansive conference and we look forward to attending again next year.
