Chicago, Illinois (July 26-29, 2017) Lyryx was pleased to be an exhibitor at this year’s Mathematical Association of America’s MathFest (https://www.maa.org/meetings/mathfest-2017). Joining thousands of mathematicians in pursuit of the MAA’s mission to “advance the understanding of mathematics and its impact on our world;” Lyryx exhibited their combination of free open texts and affordable high quality online assessment for Calculus and Linear Algebra, otherwise known as Lyryx with Open Texts (LOTs).
Lyryx President and Professor of Mathematics, Claude Laflamme, was invited to speak in the session regarding online assessment. His extensive experience with both developing and using online assessment was of great value to those seeking more information about resources available and their effectiveness.
A wonderful spirit of comradery, both among neighboring exhibitors and attendees, was a highlight of the event. In addition, LOTs for Calculus and Linear Algebra generated significant interest from many attendees and the Lyryx team is excited to follow up with interested parties the coming weeks!
